Founded in 2014, Bellabeat creates beautiful, innovative products that help women easily track, manage and improve their overall health and well-being. Bellabeat helps promote a better, healthier lifestyle by bringing intuitive wellness tools to women — encouraging them to take care of their health through educational content and community support. Bellabeat has always been inspired by the beauty and power of nature, which is incorporated into all of their products.
In 2019, Bellabeat launched their unique subscription service, Bellabeat+ Membership, which provides women with specialized content across different wellness segments.
Bellabeat+ members receive unlimited access to exclusive fitness and beauty video programs, mindfulness exercises, audio meditations, written educational content on all things important to women’s health, special product offers and discounts — with even more perks coming in the future. Bellabeat+ members can also participate in discussions on women’s health and get support from the biggest community of women in wellness. The content is distributed across their family of wellness apps. While the subscription is available as a stand-alone digital product, Bellabeat is offering attractive bundles that include both the product and the subscription service for complete insight into your wellness and lifestyle.
Since their admission into Y Combinator’s class of W 2014, Bellabeat continues to change the game of health, and lifestyle tech for women. Back in the winter of 2014, Y Combinator included the company in their top 3 startups and Bellabeat has so far raised funding with top investors such as SV ANGEL, UNIVERSAL, CRUNCHFUND, Nicolas Berggruen, Justin Kan, Michael Seibel, Paul Buchheit, Tom Fallows, Cherubic VC and Adrian Aoun. Bellabeat’s smart piece of jewelry, Leaf Nature, launched back in May of 2015 has quickly become known as “The Health Tracker for Women”; rightfully so as it was accompanied by the first health tracking app that allowed women to keep track of their reproductive cycle alongside the usual activity and sleep tracking.
2016 started big for Bellabeat, with the launch of Leaf Urban and Forbes including co-founder and CCO Urska Srsen in their “30 under 30” list, naming her ambassador of the list’s Technology field. “I believe limiting yourself is the worst thing you can do. It doesn’t matter if you’re a doctor, a sculptor or a programmer – if we join hands, we can make amazing things that can turn the world into a better place”, Urska said then.
Their tech powered wellness products have become a key accessory for women with different careers and lifestyles such as Lolo Jones, Summer and Winter Olympian and 3x World Champion, whose personalized guides are available in the Bellabeat app to all Bellabeat users. Due to the attention to design and versatility their products were also embraced by many fashion icons, lifestyle and yoga bloggers including Sarah Stage, Kino MacGregor, Diipa Khosla, Gabrielle Epstein, and Chiara Ferragni from The Blonde Salad, one of the world’s most famous bloggers.
